Five Beaches You Have to Visit in Huelva

On the Costa de la Luz, you can enjoy incredible sunsets and unforgettable moments. It is one of those places you must visit once in your life.

You can enjoy more than 120 kilometers of beaches in Huelva with a super pleasant temperature. We must add the abundant vegetation surrounding its beaches, great natural landscapes, and fine golden sand.

We want to advise you on five beaches you can visit this summer in Huelva.

Five Beaches You Have to Visit in Huelva

Within the variety of beaches that Huelva has, we want to give you some recommendations on five beaches that you have to visit at some point in your life:

1. Punta Umbria Beach: This beach has fine golden sand and is surrounded by junipers and pine forests. It belongs to the Marismas del Odiel Natural Park. This area is one of the most important ecological swamps in the Iberian Peninsula. It has been declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

This beach has the Blue Flag since it’s warm and crystalline waters, the absence of wind, and its services, such as pubs, beach bars, easy access, and parking, have made it worthy of this concession.

2. El Portil Beaches (Cartaya and Punta Umbria): It is considered one of the best beaches in Huelva. It is surrounded by the Laguna de El Portil Nature Reserve. This reserve is formed thanks to the force of the wind and the tide on the dunes.

This beach is 3,600 meters long and is very easy to access, which is why it won the Blue Flag in 2015. This award is granted by the FEE (European Foundation for Environmental Education) for the excellent conservation of the beaches of El Portal.

Did you know that from this beach you can reach the Flecha del Rompido? La Flecha is a sand formation parallel to the coast, protected by the force of the Atlantic Ocean.

3. El Rompido Beach (Cartaya): This golden sand beach is located in the Marismas del Rio Piedras Natural Park, at the mouth of the river. From its fishing port, you can see incredible views of the formation of a sand tongue known as the Flecha del Rompido.

Imagine losing yourself in the middle of nature and feeling the breeze and aroma of the sea; this place is perfect for this since its location makes it difficult to access it.

4. Playa El Parador (Mazagon): This beach is 2 km long and is located at the base of an impressive cliff, surrounded by a huge pine forest. We recommend you visit it when the tide is low because several hundred meters of white sand are exposed, and you can also see small freshwater streams.

Its multiple services and the quality of the waters have made it possible for it to obtain the Blue Flag; it is also an easily accessible beach.

5. Playa Cuesta Maneli (Almonte): This beach is surrounded by a large pine forest and dunes. It is located in the center of the Donana National Park. To get to Rompeculos Beach (also known as such), you must walk about 1,200 meters along a wooden path.

During the walk along this path, you can enjoy the views of the cliffs that surround it, which have been declared a Natural Monument due to their high geological value.

Great vacation with the best connection. We all want to enjoy a good vacation, and, above all, after having read about these beautiful beaches on the Huelva Coast, we know that you will be biting your nails with nerves to prepare for your next trip.
